Leah,
Your performance at our Celebrate Recovery meeting was GREAT!! We loved being able to sing along with you. Your bubbling personality reminded me that even though life is a roller coaster ride with it's many highs and lows there is JOY in serving Christ and others, and that Christ loves who we really are. Thank-You!!!

Thank you Leah for bringing an unassuming message of hope to Mercy Place CR.  Your ability to connect on a personal level opened some hurting hearts up for spiritual movement one step further in recovery.  I heard from one of our ladies small groups that the lyrics from "this side of pain" brought out some tears that can now be counted, collected, and consoled by Christ.  I work with the teenagers who discussed the many crossroads they face daily and a renewed desire to allow God to guide them through each problem, decision, and relationship to find more "Good days."  Thank you for reminding us who we really are...loved and worthy children of God.  Thank you for your inspiration, your music, and your ministry.

It is my privilege to offer this personal reference regarding Leah Martensen and her ministry in music. Leah has been part of our congregation for the last several years. During that time I have had opportunity to get to know her well in my role as her pastor and as a friend.

Leah serves in two key positions of leadership at CrossRoads Community Church. One is her role on the Program Design Team which helps to plan all of our Sunday services including elements of music, drama and media.

Leah makes a valuable contribution to every aspect of this ministry team. Leah also serves as a vocalist on our worship and music ministry team. It is a great testimony to her character that she frequently sings both lead solos and backup roles. She has a servant’s heart which is often hard to find among talented musicians.

I highly recommend Leah to your ministry both for her musical talent and for her Christ-like spirit.

Sincerely,

TO LEAH AND THE CREW AT JOYFUL SOUND RECORDING AND MARTENSEN MINISTRIES, I WANT TO THANK YOU SINCERELY FOR PERFORMING AT OUR FACILITY ON SUNDAY. YOUR SHOW WAS A HIT! OUR CROWD REALLY LOVED THE WAY YOU MADE THE EVENING FUN AND INTERACTIVE.

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT YOU ENJOY PERFORMING FOR PEOPLE AND THAT YOUR STAFF IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND COMPETENT. THERE WAS AN ATMOSPHERE THAT NIGHT WHICH WAS JOYFUL AND COMFORTING. WE HAD SOME PEOPLE THERE WHO HAD NEVER VISITED OUR CHURCH BEFORE. I BELIEVE THEY WILL COME BACK DUE IN LARGE PART TO THE EXPERIENCE THEY ENCOUNTERED AT YOUR CONCERT.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE LOOKING FOR AN ENJOYABLE EVENING OF FUN MUSIC,AND FELLOWSHIP,BOOK YOU INTO THEIR VENUE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU PERFORM AT THE NUMEROUS OTHER EVENTS WE DISCUSSED PLANNING WITHIN OUR CONFERENCE OF CHURCHES. MAY GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU AND YOUR MINISTRIES.

Oh, no! Not another message from Alan Adams!!! Yes, but this one's quite different. . . a week ago we were blessed here in Frankford by the music ministry of Leah Martensen, a Christian soloist and recording artist from Toledo, Ohio.
Leah and her husband Jan are active members of Crossroads Community Church in Temperance, Michigan, pastored by Glenn Teal, with whom many of us are acquainted.

Leah ministered to us in an hour-long concert on Saturday evening, singing some of her own songs. And she contributed positively to the Sunday morning worship. Leah and Jan travel to their ministry engagements in a motor-home. Jan handles all the audio-visual aspects of the ministry which are quite impressive.

I have no hesitation in recommending Leah Martensen's ministry to you. Her down-to-earth style while singing heavenly realities is refreshing. Leah
has a beautiful voice and a warm, engaging manner. Let's bring her often to this country!

Sincerely, your colleague,
Alan Adams

Leah's music ministry crosses all generational barrier. I have seen children and adults moved by the gift of song God has placed in Leah's heart.

Leah has ministered to truck drivers melting their hearts as they heard God's love proclaimed to them. We have enjoyed hearing Leah's powerful testimony reaching those God places in her path. You too will be blessed by her witness.

Dear Leah: Might I take this opportunity, on behalf of our congregation, to express to you our sincere appreciation for your coming to London to minister to us in music. We all appreciated, and were blessed by your music and it was great that you included congregational participation as well.

Again, thank you for being with us, it was our pleasure to welcome you. Perhaps we might be able to look forward to another visit at some point in the future.

It was our distinct pleasure to have Leah Martensen as a special guest for our Sunday evening Drive-In service of Newberg Norton Bible Church. Assisted by her husband Jan, Leah presented an entertaining and challenging message of faith and salvation.

She reaches out to the believer as well as the non-believer to renew or accept faith in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Newberg Norton Bible Church’s Sunday evening Drive-In service is an annual outreach ministry. June 18, 2000 was Leah’s premier engagement.
We invited Leah back June 24, 2001.

Our Pastor and the Church well received Leah and Jan on those visits. I received many requests for a return visit. It is my intention to invite Leah to return and share with us again. I anticipate the members of our congregation will invite more people to visit our Church during Leah’s next visit.

IT IS WITH GREAT PLEASURE TO FULLY RECOMMEND THE MINISTRY OF LEAH R. MARTENSEN TO YOUR CHURCH OR CHRISTIAN FUNCTION. SHE HAS BEEN IN CONCERT AT OUR MINISTRY ON TWO SEPARATE DATES AND AT A MORNING SERVICE AT A CLOSE ASSOCIATE'S CHURCH. ON ALL THREE OCCASIONS MS. MARTENSEN NOT ONLY OFFERED A PROFESSIONAL AND WELL CARRIED OUT PROGRAM BUT ALSO GENUINELY MINISTERED TO THE PEOPLE ON A LEVEL THAT THEY WERE PRESENTLY ON.

SHE RADIATES AN OPENNESS AND HUMILITY WITH A UNIQUE ENTHUSIASM THAT IS HIGHLY INFECTIOUS AND REFRESHING. MS. MARTENSEN'S HEART IS CLEARLY CENTERED IN THE WORK THAT GOD HAS LAID BEFORE HER.

HER MANNER AND CONDUCT WERE AT ALL TIMES APPROPRIATE AND SUBMISSIVE TO THE AUTONOMY OF OUR MINISTRY. WITH OUT RESERVATION I CAN GIVE MY FULL RECOMMENDATION OF THE MINISTRY OF LEAH R. MARTENSEN.

We had Leah Martensen at Beulah Baptist in East Central Alabama and we were totally blessed by her sweet voice and video display. Leah has a unique gift from God for reaching people through music that moves those who hear her closer to God. I highly recommend that you have Leah come and inspire your worship of God.
